The world obtained a front row for the growing tensions between the White House and the Ukrainian government such as President Donald Trump and vice president JD Vance raised their voices in a heated discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the White House on Friday.
Zelenskyy was there to sign an agreement that would have given the rare minerals of the United States of his country, however, the Ukrainian president left the White House shortly after the discussion, canceling the planned press conference of the presidents in the process.
Vance intervened when Zelenskyy spoke about the country’s history when dealing with Russian president Vladimir Putin and the vice president falsely said that Zelensky had not thanked the United States for his help to the country shattered by war.
Trump joined and intensified the argument.
“You are playing with World War Tres. You are playing with World War Tres. And what you are doing is very disrespectful with the country,” Trump said.
