Hamas launches at 6 hostages as planned in the last exchange

London – Hamas launched six live hostages on Saturday in separate places from the Gaza Strip, including Rafah’s city in the South and the Nuseirat refugee camp in the center of the enclave.

Stages were installed in each location on Saturday morning, surrounded by Hamas fighters and multitude of spectators.

Two hostages, such Shoham, 40, and Avera Mengistu, 39, were released after a signature ceremony in Rafah.

“According to the information communicated by the Red Cross, two hostages were transferred to them, and are directed to the FDI and ISA forces in the Gaza Strip,” a joint statement from the Israel Defense Forces and the agency of Israel and the agency of the agency said Israel’s security. “The IDF are prepared to receive additional hostages that must be transferred to the Red Cross in the near future.”

Meanwhile, after a signature ceremony among the Red Cross and Hamas officials, three hostages: Eliya Cohen, 27; Omer Shem Tov, 22; and Omer Wenkrat, 23, were released in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Center of Gaza.

“According to the information communicated by the Red Cross, three hostages were transferred, and are directed to the FDI and ISA forces in the Gaza Strip,” reads a separate joint statement from the FDI and ISA. “The IDF are prepared to receive an additional host that is transferred to the Red Cross in the near future.”

According to Israeli officials and hostages and missing families, a sixth hostage, Hisham al-Sayed, 36. He is being accompanied by Israeli forces to a meeting point in southern Israel to meet with his family.

“Israeli citizens embrace the six returnees who returned to Israel today,” said the office of the Israeli prime minister in a statement.

In exchange for these hostages, Israel is expected to free hundreds of Palestinians from their prisons. Based on previous exchanges, this part generally begins after hostages return to Israeli territory.
