Two people, including a Posts Salts for women from the Louisian State University, died in a car accident on the school Baton Rouge campus on Wednesday night, according to university officials.
At approximately 9:07 pm on Wednesday, the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling south through Nicholas Drive and tried to turn left in South Quad Drive, the Baton Rouge police department said Thursday in a statement.
When trying to turn left, the “Honda Accord was reached by the driver of a BMW motorcycle traveling north in Nicholson Drive.”

The driver of the car and the motorcyclist, Bohdi Linton, 23, died at the accident scene, police said.
Dillon Reidenauer, 18, was identified as the driver of the car, said Lsu Athletics in a statement Thursday.
“We are devastated by the tragic death of Dillon Reidenauer, who was removed too soon,” said LSU athletics coach Dennis Shaver. “All on our LSU track & Field Family keeps Dillon’s loved ones in our thoughts and prayers, as well as those of the other individual lost in the incident. “
Reidenauer was a first -year student in LSU, obtaining a title in interior design and was part of the women’s pole jumping team, said the university.
Originally from Abita Springs, Louisiana, Reidenauer was one of the best jumpers of the preparation pole in the state while attending Fontainebleau High School. He finished second in the 2024 LHSAA 5A Championship and was in fourth place in that same match as a junior.

His biography On the LSU athletics page describes Reidenauer as “one of the best poles jumpers in the state of Louisiana that leaves high school.”
LSU is one of the best pole -jump programs in the nation, thanks in part to the student Mondo Duplantis, who has the world record at the event and won gold at the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. Reidenauer, as a first -year student, was not yet to compete, but he was learning under the jumper of the top pole of the team, the last year student of Duplantis, the younger sister of the great jumper of recognized poles of all time.
Shaver said the team is currently on the road on College Station, Texas, for the SEC championships and “thanks Texas to& M for offering your support and compassion. “
LSU Athletics said they are “providing resources and support to all our students athletes and personnel directly affected by this tragic loss.”
