Multiple federal agencies seemed to be surprised by the email led by Elon Musk of the Personnel Management Office on Saturday that required employees detailing their weekly achievements.

Some law enforcement agencies, including FBI, have also ordered employees to “Pause” any response to OPM email.

In an email to all NOAA staff obtained by ABC News, the rear admiral Chad Cary declared that the message “was a surprise for all departments, and NOAA’s leadership is looking for guidance.”

Cary also recommended not sending anything until Monday night in case additional guidance is provided.

The sources told ABC News that FEMA employees had also been aimed at stopping the answer.

In the IRS, the interim commissioner informed the personnel that the officials there are waiting for the orientation of the Treasury about the email, but did not specifically inform the staff about whether they responded or not.
