According to the reports, an officer was killed and several others were injured in a shooting in a hospital in York County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, according to police sources informed about the matter.
West York County Police officer Andrew Duarte was killed in the UPMC Memorial in the municipality of West Manchester, the municipality announced.
According to the reports, another officer and a nurse suffered gunshot wounds, police sources said. It is not clear how many people were injured in the shooting.
The shooter is dead and there is no danger to the public, state police said Saturday afternoon.

The incident began around 10:30 am, said the sources of application of the law. The West York Police Department officers responded and the subject opened fire.
The suspect apparently tried to barricade inside the hospital and is believed to died of a self -inflicted gunshot wound, sources of application of the law said.
The researchers are trying the shooting as an incident of domestic violence, but warned that the investigation is in their early stages.

UPMC said no patient has been injured.
“We have received confirmed reports from a gun in UPMC Memorial, and shot,” said a statement. “The armed man has been arrested and no patient has been injured. The hospital is now sure. This is a fluid situation. The police are in the facilities and is handling the situation.”
The State Police remains in the scene conducting the investigation.
